Not A Meerkat Monday #10: Guinea Pigs

Guinea pigs are small, domesticated rodents with origins in South America and they also happen to be a favorite of mine. I own two delightful and adorable little ones named Mocha and Callie. They have no tail and make a variety of vocalizations (especially at dinner time!). Their many calls, clicks, and purrs reminds me of meerkat language and has been a huge inspiration when it came to writing The Meer Series. Blaze is actually dedicated to my pets, including Mocha and Callie. Guinea pigs are herd animals with lifespans ranging from 4 to 8 years.
