Not A Meerkat #4: Hyenas

You may think of cackling villains when you picture a hyena thanks to Disney’s classic film The Lion King but there’s more to these brutes than meets the eye. Hyenas hunt in packs or clans, using team work and stamina to take down prey. They are so smart that they can hunt a variety of prey, even swimming out to take a flamingo from its flock. Lions actually steal more kills from hyenas than hyenas steal from them and they have an even stronger bite force than the king of the jungle! Their signature laugh is used only when they are scared or nervous.
