Not A Meerkat Monday #1: Ring-Tailed Lemurs

Though ring-tailed lemurs are from Africa as well as meerkats the similarities stop there. These quirky primates’ natural habitat is the island of Madagascar. They eat a diet of insects, fruits, and leaves and their life spans around about 16 years. These animals are highly social and endangered in the wild. You can learn more about these creatures online or at a local zoo. My local zoo, Keystone Stone Safari, houses them which is where I took these pictures (excluding the header image).
